Pumpkin Sabji
Pumpkins can be made yummy too
Ingredients
Pumpkin
Onions
Salt
Red Chilli Powder
Turmeric
Methi Seeds
Garam Masala
Oil
Recipe
Peel and cut the pumpkin into small pieces. Wash the pumpkin and take out all the extra water. Take some oil in the pressure cooker and heat. Put methi seeds in it. Then put onions and let them become light brown. Add turmeric, red chilli powder and salt. Add the pumpkin pieces and stir. Close the pressure cooker. After the first whistle, leave it on low flame for 20 minutes. It might take few more minutes depending on how hard the pumpkin is. It takes only 15 min in US and sometimes 25-20 minutes in Delhi. You will have to play with the time a bit. Turn the flame off and wait till the pressure cooker cools down and there is no steam left. Open the pressure cooker. The pumpkin must be soft enough to be mashed. Mash it and let it stay on flame (open) for 3-4 minutes. Put some garam masala and it is ready to eat! This sabji tastes yummy with hot rotis!
